Lei He'e, Lei Honu and two Lei Pulelehua have been invited to the Assemblage Exhibit 2024! These four will be island hopping this summer traveling from the fictional Lei Island (located on O’ahu) to the Wailoa Center on the island of Hawai’i.

This form of collage intentionally conceals all noticeable connections and instead of using a harsh adhesive to bind the lei together, each piece is hand-sewn. This technique creates cohesive pieces of art while keeping the integrity of each lei separate and intact.

This a juried exhibit of mosaics and collage. Jurors Tami Macala and Ken Charon have selected collage and mosaic works from across Hawaiʻi for this bright and whimsical show.
