Lei Island is a 12-piece assemblage mural created with dried lei. An important part of the process involves carefully assembling and hand-sewing the lei so that the lei remains intact. The intention behind this artform is to preserve lei in a meaningful way! This art is meant to be impermanent, but with careful handling it will last decades to come.
